Bio
I was born. I went to school. I graduated from Kindergarten, 8th grade, High School, Undergraduate X 2, and Graduate School. I love school! But I'm still cool. Actually, I guess I loved school so much I decided to stay there - I'm an English teacher. I've taught 9th, 10th, and 11th grade in Texas. I'm not teaching sophomores and seniors in Yorktown, Virginia.
While I'm teaching, there are often times I wonder, "WHY? WHY did I become a teacher?" Then I remind myself, "Empowerment, Cassie, Empowerment!"
And in recent and not-so-recent news: Moved to Louisiana in June 2005. Married my hero, Billy, on September 17, 2005! Hurricane Rita hit us September 24. We didn't have power for 4 days, water for 3. I had 10 days off work. I quit my job October 28 (Happy Birthday, Lindsey). We moved on post the first weekend of November. Welcomed 2006. Billy gave me a puppy, our Mandy, for Valentine's Day. Billy re-enlisted in March 2006 for his choice of duty station. We chose Fort Eustis, Virginia. They gave him a report date of Feb 2007...a "little" longer than we'd hoped for. We decided I would look for a job in Virginia and move early...with the hopes that he would get the report date moved up by 60 days. So, I found a job. The army sat on its ass, so his report date stayed at Feb 2007.
And now we're together, living in a 3 bedroom (rent) house in Yorktown. A little over a month after Billy got here, on the first try, we got pregnant. We're expecting our first little biscuit on November 26, 2007. We're very excited. I'm quite terrified at the same time. Now we must grow up - it's the real thing!
